When the club membership elects officers to serve on a Board ... it is THE ELECTED BOARD (with recommendations from various committees) that establishes club policy... not the entire club membership. To think otherwise would be stating that the club membership should vote on every club action and activity, which would create a paralysis in which nothing would get accomplished.

If any club member wishes to have their input on the OTY awards, there is a well-established procedure for anyone who wishes to vote and does not discriminate against anyone.
