Though I can't give you the exact date, Jim, it was
a few years ago when Sun entered into the operation.
The new rack at that time (both BJ and B&G) included
"SUN" on the inlay. I don't know who exactly was
operating the casino while your sister was there,
but it is possible that (and it happens here, too)
the chips could have been put back into play for any
reason.
We've seen obsolete chips (King Int'l Aruba) at
trade shows in Vegas that were used to
display/introduce new table games and later the
casino/owner of the games put the chip back into
play for certain games.
