I make notes for myself, and it seems promptly lose them. It would be nice to maintain a list of hoards or big buys for reference.

This doesn't mean the chips will always be available or cheap, but at least people will know that 5,000 red $5 Bud Jones from xyz casino were out there.

Sometimes a box of 100 seems like alot of chips, but if they are the only box and a desirable chip, who knows?

I've seen boxs of Lucky Lil's, Montana going on eBay for around $70 per hundred. I don't collect that state and don't know if that chip is/was desirable. Now the buyer has to find 35 people who are interested, at two bucks, just to break even.

Ask some of the people who regularly buy and sell these large lots. 25c a chip seems to be normal for "hoards" of chips, which might, with any luck, sell for $39.00 per hundred and up.

Lots of investment and work to make $14.00 so it's not going to make them rich. It does make the chips available, so that's nice.

So maybe for a question, is a box of 100 or so chips a Hoard or just a nice find. At what number does it become a hoard of chips?
