I am very close to understanding this BUT shouldn't the original bid of the higher bid come out when he/she put in their original bid. Pete has the right bid sequence and even with the concept of your highest bid being on top, YOU HAD to bid sometting lower to get in the swing of bidding, where is that one!?

I have seen many bids where the bidders are listed with their opening bid and then subsequent higher bids. How can you have a bid that was higher than mine BUT never show up at a lower bid point either?
