Larry, I spoke with someone at the North Tahoe visitors bureau on Aug. 1, and she indicated the casino was scheduled to reopen on Friday, Aug. 8. It looks like it opened that same day.

Either there was a flurry of late construction, or the visitors bureau was significantly uninformed. I'm betting on the latter.
