The chips in that article are a different mold and a different Magnolia club.

The ones in Jeff's scan are from COVINGTON, Ky, my home town. 118 Pike St. 1940's and still there as far as I know. I am going home for a few days later this week and will check.
Magnolia had mostly poker games and was a real flea bag. I've played there in the 60's. They had Shades (marked cards) on one night I was there.

The WI chip in Jeff's scan is from the Woodland Inn in Walton, Ky. 20 miles or so south of Covington/Newport area. The owner Bulldog Wright was a friend. I used to own the Gay 90's down US 25 a couple miles from the WI. They were both red neck joints and between us we had the Friday Night Fights and shootings between us. There was always a KY State trooper patroling the couple miles between us. Bulldog also owned the Keenland in Covington. right across the street from my Mother.
