That was how I started my collecting hobby. I found one of my childhood Pez Dispensers and, having just gotten the internet then, went online to see if there were anymore old ones kicking around. WOW. I amassed a collection of almost 300 before some crazy collector emails and offers to buy the entire collection, stating name your price. I quoted 3 times what I paid for everything, and he wired the money the next day. Used that money to start my chip collection and take a Chip gathering holiday or two! Most I ever sold a Pez for was $150 U.S which is the same as the most I ever got for a casino chip, so I guess they are comparable collectibles. Highest price ever paid for PEz that I know of, was $8000 U.S. for a matched Bride and Groom Set. True story, When I first started collecting Pez, I came across a store here in Regina that had a stack of old ones, so I bought them, and posted them for $5 U.S each shipping included(they cost me $1.99 Cdn), thinking I was making a fast buck(DUH) First person to email takes all of them from me (35) and I thought I hit the jackpot at $150(gave him a deal on shipping). Two days later, I was informed by another collector that they were easily worth $30-$35 a piece! OUCH. Thats how we learn I guess!
