I've heard the pitch and while I stand behind erything the group stands for, I am not much of a joiner.
As Groucho Marx said: "I refuse to belong to any club that would have me as a member."
Actually I may join eventually - what's 20 in this hobby?
Thanks for the info and I am as ethical a personas you'll find. I had a bad experience with a member, whose name you'd know right away and I don't think much of their ethics. A bait and switch artist IMO. Also has a hoard of a chip that commands a pretty hefty price and never bothered to disclose that fact.
Only been collecting for 6 months or so, but tend to focus on higher end chips from specific casinos. Frontier, Silver Slipper, Landmark (I have exactly none of those) . . . defunct casinos with some neat history.
I personally despise Chipco chips - they are "cartoon" chips in my opinion. I prefer the older, more refined molds HCE, house, H & C, T and the like.
I also steer clear of the major casinos - too big and too many chips produced. Belaggio, for example put up a great hotel and has some of the worst chips I ever saw - durability wise that is. The inserts are pained on and wear down fast.
I do web design, handicap NFL football and run a few web site in addition to having a job and family.
