Thanks, Joe. The gap between the $1 & the lion can not be called a variation. I have seen the original artwork. The denomination was a separate overlay that was placed on the inlay. The differences in the gap was caused by the overlay being placed by hand and not in the exact area as the previous photo. A different chip or variation was not intended.
