Thanks Phyllis, but I think i've tried it all. I'm down to 9 items in my temp. internet files. I've run a disc clean-up. I've run scan disc. I've defragged. I've deleted unnecessary files. I've removed the ad trackers. Nothing seems to help. I'm down to two choices....Tell Compaq what to do with it and go buy a new Dell or pull my hair out. The latter wouldn't take long.
