Some people will only trade $5's for $5's...
and some folks don't have good access to traders, so may hesitate because 5 (x $1) chips for 1 (x $5) can wipe out their traders...
Others (like me) are "easy"... if I want or neeeeeeed the chip, you can have just about anything I have (10 fracts? WHY NOT? For some chips, I'll send 20! )
Just tell people you collect $1's (and basically only $1's) upfront.... and most likely they'll do their best to help you.
In the past, if possible, I'd try to "even things out" a little by picking a few $1 chips I wanted wanted and accepting the balance in $1 chips from their local casino. This is good in two ways: I'd have more "$1's to trade for $1's" and didn't deplete their traders.
It is also nice when someone sends a stack of "something" (like Jim Follis did for me the other day - THANKS JIM!) and I "got away" with only shipping "one" chip out (or in our case, I delivered ), to toss in a local fractional, slot card or bonus chip... even 50c or buck - to make up the difference in shipping.
Bottom line is" if both people get what they want - it's a good trade!
What I usually find is we "pick what we want", we add it up" and if it's close, then "chips in 'da mail."
God Bless America and Chippers
(and with that - I'm off to Home Depot to make sure they get what's left of my paycheckSSSSSSSS )
