While very worthwhile, don’t worry about not seeing The Cincinnati Kid Steven, while it’s a great movie with poker in it, it is not a great Poker Movie like Rounders. The Cincinnati Kid is rather a movie you’d watch for actors and actresses and their characterizations. No-nonsense but detailed, point A to point B direction and excellent economical writing. Great settings and a movie that established Steve McQueen as an major actor. No particular insight to gambling or gamblers but some memorable lines that poker players should have in their memory bank. A good way to spend 2 hours.
