I would expect that the emails originate from an automated system which has found your email from various locations and lists and also sometimes just by randomly sending to random email addresses.

I doubt that there is someone somewhere picking individuals to send this to.

I also believe that this board is not a source of the spam because while I receive a lot of spam NONE of it comes to this email address that I use here.
