Bleeding red Chipcos....

I was re-organizing my collection last week and noticed that one of the pockets [on the 12 pocket vinyl page] had a round pink stain. SO, I pulled all the red chipcos ( approx 30) and they ALL had bled thru the windows on the cardboard flips and stained the pockets they were stored in. They are all $5 chips. There is also a $1 white chip with red inserts (Circus Circus LV with clown front)... the three red inserts also bled thru.

Some of the staining is very light and some more than others... Depending on the time they were stored. The chip dates vary from 1998 to 2002.

I thought they would be safe as long as they were in the cardboard flips but apparently not.

IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY OF STORING THEM OTHER THAN PUTTING EACH ONE IN AN AIRTITE...?
