Authentic - Franklin Mint created sets in the 60's
In Response To: Re: Are these Authentic? ()

Yes these tokens are authentic.

The Franklin Mint would mint proof, proof-like and the normal run of tokens for the casinos.

Back in the 1960's you could buy all three grades directly from the Franklin Mint.

The 1966 sets came in complete sets in a binder or in 4 card panes. The Franklin Mint did the same in 1967.

$4.50 is a good price for shipping if the pane makes it through the USPS in one piece (I've had them broken up in transit.

single tokens run from $2.50 - $10.00 per $1.00 token.

I'm still working on a 1967 pane set.

too bad the Franklin Mint didn't make chips in the 60's, try to find $1.00 chips from each of those casino's listed in 1966 in "mint" condition (72 casinos)!
