All of the chippers I have dealt with seem to have the same problem. They just can't keep their end of the deal.
Let's see the latest example from everyone's buddy, Will Knight:
He was going to the conference and offered to pick up some chips for me. I told him to pick me up $20 worth of chips and $15 for the Club Tournament chip set. I told him I would send him $40 with $5 being for postage. I sent him the $40 believing him to be an honest person. (Actually I sent it to Mrs.Knight as I figured she was gonna get it anyway. ) Well, it turned out he couldn't pick up an extra set and I told him to just send $15 worth of anything else.
Well first of all, the package took at least an entire FOUR DAYS to get here from Florida. I can't believe that he didn't overnight FEDEX the package! But I can overlook that (And I was good... postage came to $4.90!) I opened my box with the glee of a five year old on Christmas. There were all kinds of chips to look over. It was very exciting. But then I noticed a problem. I started adding up the chips. They did not total $35. So I added them up again. Nope. Still not $35. I couldn't believe it. This was a good fella. How could he do this to me. How could he go and send me $42 worth of chips. That wasn't fair. It wasn't right. And that didn't include all the EXTRA stuff in the box like the deck of cards and the matchbox and other fun stuff from the convention. What was he thinking? Are all chippers this untrustworthy. I am still sore over those chippers that helped me out when I was starting out. Sending me chips for free or giving me five chips when I sent them one. I'm tired of dealing with these dishonest people. Either dishonest or really dumb.
So now I am trying to figure out what I should do:
A) Tell Will that I better send him a check for $7 or the deal is off.
B) Send back the chips along with a check for the postage and tell him to rip my check up. And to never do business with me again.
C) Tell him he needs to take a math class. (What? He has a math degree??!!??)
D) Or just thank him in front of his peers for the effort he went through and all the great chips he got.
I'm leaning towards B but I'm having a hard time letting go of the chips.
Thanks for ensuring that the reputation of the members of this club continues!

P.S. Now if I can only get Ralph Meyers to process my application so I can be just as dispicable!
