Great story... I have a similar story

Seems there was a better line for the card - in the poker room. There were only 2 people in front of me. Got the players card, was checked in and then sat in a 3-6 game (+$50 and $30 in chips).

Later - after a quick $20 in a 25cent VP machine I sat at a 5cent spin poker machine. dont know why i like these, must be the spinning cards that keeps me distracted. So I have 2000 credits and am playing them down. Finally my family finds me (down to 1100 credits) and they gather around. I decide to teach my brother how to play video poker and he takes 1100 credit and turns them into 1000 credits. At 45 credits at a time its not difficult (up/down/up/down).

Then I decide to let my brother's girlfriend try. about 2-3 hands later she is dealt 666Joker. she holds the 4 of a kind and I tell her if we hit another 6 then we are done. bang--- 12000 nickles. we cash out for $650 (she gets a $100 toke).

Now here is one problem for the Borgata. To get the cash takes all of 1 second with the ticket. In the taj, tropicana, harrahs world is a LONG process - they penalize you for winning by making you wait 45 minutes for a hand pay or a hopper refill. Meanwhile you are bored silly and throw in $20 in the next machine. Here I was able to take the tickets and RUN.

Decided to take the family across the street to Harrahs for the buffet. EXCELLENT!
