I, and I am sure many others, would like to know the real story on this chip.
I am neutral on this as this chip is not mine.
Seems like the chip rack just made a guess on this one being illegitimate.
The person who let me scan it for answers, has had this chip since 1979.
So I ask, is it real or not.
Please present any evidence you have either way.
Guesses are welcomed - but really are as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
