I wanted to post this a few weeks ago but I am still confused about how I should have handled this.

Here's the setup: (hypothetical of course)

You post a "Chips here on the ChipBoard - with scan - price @ $50. A short time later you get an inquiry. The recognize the name as a "newer" collector. He asks a few typical questions... about condition of the chips and location of casino. He requests scans of both sides of all chips = so you spend the next 3-4 hours doing re-scans chips and exchanging emails... (he has MANY questions)

By afternoon, the buyer mentions some other chips he wants... You have a few of them and offer him Chips "X Y &Z" for an additonal $15.00. This generates another 2 hours of email... you scan and send both sides and answer his "questions".

By then... it's getting late... it's 7 pm - you haven't eaten (since breakfast) so you're ready to wrap this up and call it a day.

You email the chipper a "summmary" and the cost @ $65 - a casual "Let me know."

Your buyer emails back... he says,
"Thank you for your time. I will take the chips.
Here's my address and tomorrow I will send you a personal check in the amount of $58.00. Please acknowledge your receipt of this email and confirm when you'll be shipping them to me."

You email him and say, "With the extra chips you wanted, the total is $65.oo."

He responds, "Ok - we have a deal...
I want the chips and will send $58.00."

You email again and say, "PRICE IS $65.00"

His response: "Too late. I already mailed you the money."

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

A. Tell him the price is $65.00 and when you receive payment in full, you'll mail the chips.

B. Tell him the price is $65 - mail the chips - and ask him to drop the difference into the mail for you at his convenince..

C. Return his check with a note saying "the chips are $65.00. If yo want them @ $65.00, let me know."

D. Remove $7 worth of chips and ship $58 worth

E. Sell him the dang chips @ $58.00. You have better things to do than lose sleep over $7.

F. Something different??????
