What about "Goo Gone" or TSP (trisodium phosphate)? TSP will soften hardened paint on an old paintbrush, so it would probably be strong enough to soften the glue, but could possibly hurt the color of the chip, so I'd use a q-tip very carefully. Another suggestion would be a hair dryer, possibly the heat would soften the glue and you'd be able to wash it off. Whatever you use, please post your results so we'll all learn something. grin
