I have a chip in the club auction, Lot #71. I am told (I have not seen the catalog) that they omitted the Chip Rack code number. It was discovered a year ago and was coded V9980 by Allan Myers and given a star (*) market value rating since it is the only one known. It will appear in the next Chip Rack edition. Again, I am making this post because I am told that the Chip Rack number was left out of the auction description, which is, in part:
"Lot #71 $1000 DESERT INN (Baccarat) - Las Vegas, Nevada - U.S.A. -
(Circa: 1970's)
H#-80243.0 P#-80243
Description: purple w/ gold hot stamp
Comments: This may have been a tournament or junket chip. Most large
casinos used hot stamps on higher value special use checks."
