Buenos Aires Casino opened in October 8, 1999. It is the only casino in Argentina operating on a ship. Estrella de La Fortuna is anchored at Buenos Aires Port, in the River Plate.
The vessel Estrella de La Fortuna ( Fortune Star)is a replica of the traditional casino chips which sailed along the Mississipi River at the end of the 19th century ( The Temples of Gambling, Guide to Latin American and Caribbean Casinos).
They donīt say where the vessel came from.
