You guys work way too hard at trying to discredit someone who's on your side. I've been in the chip collecting game off & on for many years and I feel it's my personal duty to warn fellow collectors of potential hazards.
My $100 Binions post was met with a rather defensive slurry of comments, instead it should have been filed away in your chip memories as a future "heads-up" when shopping for chips.
Pete Porro, your comment was uncalled for and Gene's was as well. You guys should be sticking together with honest collectors to help combat fakes & frauds rather than jumping the gun and killing the messenger. I do know the difference between an authentic chip and a fake Trust me or not, someone(s) has the ability to crank out certain chips of choice and peddle them as authentic, this in my opinion hurts chip collecting and should be stopped immediately rather than swept under the carpet to sustain collection values, which we all know would diminish somewhat as fakes continue to work their way into the market. I have my own opinion on why, how & who(s), but in the mean time I feel it's essential for one to protect his investment, wouldn't you'(s) agree?
