OK, question for a convention first timer - how does the trade session work - does everyone stand around with their traders waiting to find someone with similar interests - my mind has me thinking of awkward teenage discos where the boys are all standing on one side of the room and the girls on the other, noone speaking to each other!
And what's the best way to display your chips? I was thinking of having a folder with one of each chip which I'm bringing, and then a rack with all the dupes (if any) rather than bringing extra folders (I have to keep the weight down - last time my cases when I went back from Vegas included one weighing 68kg - apparantly there is now a 32kg limit per item!!!)
Does it get busy later, earlier, the whole time?
Should I just wear something obvious (a shirt with a big Union Flag on it maybe) so people can find me / avoid me as they prefer
And what happens if you can't make an even trade - I seem to recall reading somewhere that a small amount of cash to 'top-up' is allowed, but what's the limit (I guess my £1 house chip + $100 cash for a $100 rated chip is not allowed - not that I'll be buying too many $100 chips!). Can you go outside the hall if you want to buy and can't agree a trade?
Ah well, sure I'll have fun whatever happens!
