a need to destroy the chip? There are so many other non-destructive ways of mounting chips. I say this because I was given a $5 Westerner Village (Mesquite) chip that had been glued into a bezel and later pryed out. A big chuck of the chip broke off and was glued back on.
What was once probably considered "just $5" and could now be valued at nearly $200, is instead still about $5 probably because it was viewed as being "just $5"!
My basic question here is, if a chip (or anything for that matter) looks nice enough to be mounted and displayed, is it not a contradiction to damage or destroy the item in doing so?
Just an opinion.
