-----But why haven't I received a bid from you for chips at $1 over face, with shipping included?-----
The only reason I did not bid on any of those $1.00 is because I already have them. But believe me, if I didn't, I would be right there with my bid.
----My point was, who cares is someone charges $1 for shipping or $2 for shipping, it's not a big deal.----
Possibly to a young fellow like you a dollar isn't worth anything. I assume you wouldn't even bend down to pick one up on the ground. But to me, a dollar is a dollar and better in my pocket than yours.
As a side note, I put all my "loose" dollars bills in a special place. To date,(as of the 5th of June) I have $946.00 accumulated. To me, that's a lot of money.
-----just listed a chip for $28. Listing fee $1.10, shipping will cost me $1. When I see that, $2.00 for shipping (a broad term for expenses) is not out of line?------
Here's were we really don't agree. If I list a chip for $28.00, I believe I will make enough profit from that sale to include all the fees involved plus the shipping. And what if that chip sells for $50.00? Then I certainly make enough on the chip to bear the cost of shipping.
-----Your point is that I should charge $1 for shipping and start the bidding at $29?----
Yes. to me that makes a difference if I bid or not and my perception of you as a seller.
But that is just my opinion. As I say many times, do with my advice as you wish.
