Over on the Strike Point BBS (the message board for the Silver Striker's Chapter of the CC&GTCC) I posted a message about being able to acquire the 2002 Silver Strike of the Year awardee as a donation to the Club for the Permanent Collection.

In that message I invited everyone to visit the 2002 SSOTY, Top Ten Finalist, Viewing Site ( http://www.gamingore.com/gallery?dir=SSOTY ) and take a look at the Finalists.

One of those ten strikes will be declared the winner and once declared, the Club will need one for the Permanent Collection. As we did last year, every member is given the opportunity to donate the winning SSOTY (and COTY, or TOTY, or CKOTY for that matter) by simply declaring to me that they will make that donation.

To date, only Larry Hollibaugh and Jim Munding have made that offer (COTY and CKOTY, respectively) and I am still awaiting members to step forward about TOTY and SSOTY.

In the absence of a single individual (or a consortium) declaring that they will acquire and donate the winning SSOTY and/or TOTY for 2002 (regardless of which Finalist wins) I would like to remind everyone that they are allowed (and even encouraged) to declare sponsorship for a specific Silver Strike and/or token and in the event that that strike or token goes on to be the big winner, then your sponsorship means that you will be donating that item to the Permanent Collection.
