has been established and the game is in play...as a new player joining the table, can you place a bet on the pass line? Can you take odds on that bet?
I know you can place a bet anywhere on the table, but is the pass line off limits until a seven or the point is made?

Several of my friends have different thoughts on this situation. Looking forward to a clarification.
