IMO "any person who cares" is definitely the key
here. Until last year, I never nominated any OTY because the OTY areas aren't in my preferred collecting areas. We don't collect slot cards, room keys, tokens, or silver strikes. I never tried to keep up with current releases, because we don't collect LE's. That leaves newly released house chips...and quite honestly we're more interested in the old/obsolete house chips!

Let me nominate an old C&S chip, and I'll be drooling over Rich's site, trying to figure out what to nominate! That, of course, could present the problem of toooooo maaaaaany options to vote for...and no C&S getting more than one nomination. hmmmmmmmm....

Some of the people who SHOULD be the most interested in voting are the members of the slot card/room key chapter, members of the silver strike chapter, and people who use the NIS's....because those are the people who collect what is being nominated and voted on!

Now, to get off of my soapbox.... one possibility might be an extra "goodie" in the bag for those who vote in the OTY contest? (When all else fails, try bribery! ) Might get some additional participation from banquet-goers.
