Change your email address, don't use forwarding from your previous ISP mail server, and give your new address to only those you want to correspond with. Don't EVER reply to spam; you won't get your name removed from your list and you let them know you exist [g].

I don't think the advertisers get their email addresses from this bb, in case that concerns you. I think the chippers' names get on the list from penetration of another collector's PC when the address book gets compromised. You'll never get your name off their list so establishing a new identity is the only way to cut down your advertising mail.

It's possible that some ISP antispam software actually helps. I have had less since moving from TELEPORT to ATTBI (now COMCAST).
