Both sets shown are beautiful nd the artwork on the first set is . Somehow I think Dave is right about the tobacco connection but I can't remember what I heard or read. The ones below are, according to Seymour, ca. 1895 and I think they're somehow connected to the Oddfellows (IOOF)...
