From what I heard at the Opera House and other former prolific dollar limited edition chip issuers, they stopped putting out dollar chips because they,"Weren't making enough on the Dollar chip". I guess if the dollar chip is costing the casino 60-90 cents, I guess it wouldn't be all that worthwhile doing it.

I know you and the Palms are putting out a couple limited edition dollar chips this year. (I don't think any other casino will issue any dollar limited chips this year) Anyway, is there any middle ground? Would it be worthwhile for the Palms to issue a dollar NCV chip with some of the Palms releases? Maybe we could "tip" and pay more than a dollar for a bunch of chips (1k)? I'm trying to find someway to bridge the gap from the dollar limited edition chips and the $2.50 that many places put out now.

Maybe inflation will kick in and make this point moot? (G)
