Earlier this morning, Marc Heiman posted information in regards to an auction that was blatently misleading. To make matters worse, it also included an exhorbitant shipping charge.
I think this might have been suggested before but I also think the time has come for us to establish a page akin to the Fantasy Chip page for fraudulent sellers.
Perhaps a committee of a few prominent chippers could review auctions presented to them by club members. They could then attempt to contact the seller and give them the opportunity to correct their auctions.
Failure to do so, or respond would place them on a suggested do not buy list.
As new members without much chipping knowledge enter our hobby, this might proove to be a valuable tool. Heck, for that matter even seasoned collectors could always learn something new also.
I would be interested how others might feel about this.
