Tucson trade session a success!

Last night at 7 p.m. the newly formed casino chips and silver strikes trade session met for the first time. Eleven people from the Tucson area attended. One by one, they came in with their binders filled with chips, their silver strikes in boxes, and their reference books under their arms. People were checking out each other's traders and making their choices within 15 minutes of their arrival. Old friends were greeting each other, new friends were being made, and conversations were springing up all over. The room was really buzzing with activity.

My husband Bill, an amateur magician, came with me and was performing coin tricks for people during any lulls in the trading. I'll wager the people attending were surprised to find out that in addition to a trading session they were also going to be entertained with magic. grin Bill was also in the parking lot directing everyone where to park as well as letting them know where the Recreation Center was located. I provided soft drinks and cookies for everyone.

The trading session lasted for approximately 2 1/2 hours. During that time many transactions occurred. Most of them were trades. Some were cash. Everyone seemed happy with the deals they were making. A couple of people told me they knew of friends who they thought would be interested in doing some trading and they'll be contacting them about it.

A decision was made to have quarterly instead of bi-monthly meetings thereby enabling everyone to build up their supply of traders again. So, the next trading session in Tucson is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, at 7 p.m. As the date gets closer, I'll post reminders on the bulletin boards. Anyone visiting the Tucson area at that time is welcome to attend. Just drop me an email and I'll provide you with the directions. Bring your chips, your silver strikes, your slot cards, etc. You'll meet new friends and you'll also have a good time too. Guaranteed!
