You're right in that there is no deception in his auction presentations James. He is however, hoping that unknowlegabe buyers will pay higher prices than he could get from most chip collectors. Since he has no auctions in the chip collecting catagory, he demonstrates that he has no expection of getting his asking price from people who know chips.
Can you imagine what a buyer who just spent $10 on a $1 Mohegan Sun chip will think of the deal when he finds what the real market price of the chip actually is? What will the parrot enthusiast think of the hobby when they find the $1 Treasure Island is available from Josh Shore at $2.99 brand new instead of the $6.99 + $2 from the eBay seller?
This is a perfect example of caveat emptor but I'm afraid the buyers this guy is targeting will end up unhappy with our hobby.
