Got back from Vegas on Wednesday, and boy, did I have a great time! Nine days just wasn't enough though to se all I wanted to. At each casino I went to, I explained that I was a collector (at the cage), and asked for 5, half decent, $1 chips. All of the cage folk were very helpful, and happy to oblige. At the Palms the cage girl didn't have any nice chips, so she went in the back room and returned with 2 Aces, a King, a Queen, and a Jack, all in uncirculated condition! At the Four Queens I was after a $2.50 chip, but the lady behind the counter didn't have any. Instead she offered me a Four Queens Silver Strike that someone had cashed in. I paid her the ten bucks, and thanked her profusely! Speaking of Silver Strikes, I won one in a slot machine at the Flamingo, and two at the Barbary Coast.
The Casino's I visited and got chips from: Golden Gate, Cannery, Rio, Railroad Pass, Golden Nugget, Barbary Coast, Las Vegas Club, Nevada Palace, Sam's Town, Horseshoe Club, Fitzgeralds, Suncoast, and my favorite place, The Flamingo.
Slot Cards I signed up for: I had signed up online for a ParkPlace Connection card which would provide acces to Bally's, Caesars, Flamingo, Hilton and Paris, but the new cards weren't in yet, so they gave me the Old Flamingo Black and White card (my new card came in, a few days later, and they let me keep both as active cards!) Other cards I got were: Sam's Town, Barbary Coast, Fitzgeralds, Four Queens, Golden Nugget, Rio, Stratosphere, Railroad Pass, Cannery.
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet some of the folks from the board that I had wanted to, but I was so busy, I didn't even have time to see all of the "free" stuff I wanted to see I never got to see the Volcano, or the Pirates. I "did" get to see "La Cage" at the Riveira though! That was probably the funniest show I've ever seen!
Sorry for bendin' y'alls ears...
Mike
