... I remember well going to the corner store holding a walking libery half dollar to get my dad a pack of L&M cigarettes for which I could keep the change that would buy me a 6¢ Coke, 5¢ Candybar and put 4¢ in my pocket!
I remember having the whole family get together in the backyard for homade icecream on a Sunday afternoon.
DOWNSIDE:
I can also remember the NON-MOTORIZED lawnmowers, No Air-conditioning, Mosquitos getting in at night and buzzing in your ear, Black & White TV that only had 3 snowy channels, Six kids crammed in the back seat for a long hot 9 hour trip... Yea, those were the good 'ol days! GLAD I DIDN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! LOL
Rather than go ALL THE WAY back I would like to go halfway back and bring back the people I've lost and show them the good things I've found.
