The Stardust was at 613 Monmouth St. in 1959. I have an article of an attempted bombing of the club in 1959. The Club was closed at the time of the fouled attempt, it had been closed for a couple of weeks at the time serving a 50 suspension of operations by the liquor control board. The bomb was made from gasoline and black powder, but the container used to hold the gasoline had a crack in it and allowed all the gas to leak out before the fuse reached the container. There was however a small fire but it was quickly extinguished by the Fire Department. No one was ever arrested in connection with the attempt.
