I got an email from a gentleman in CA. (we talked on the phone last night - nice guy! )
with this scan. I am specifically at a loss concerning the two "Stock" items. To be honest, I have no idea if such these have any significant value - and if that value would be based on "what they are" or "who they belonged to". ???
Jim Episale?? You do "paper".. opinion?? comments??
I omitted his name on the Board for the sake of his privacy... although I have his permisison to forward his name & email if requested.
And uhhh... check it out!
See what's there at the bottom??
If anyone would care to make him an offer on the "naked puppies" - email me and I'll put you in contact with him directly.
Here's the majority of his email - which explains how he acquired these items:
Hi. My name is XXXXXXXXX about 20 years ago my wife and I worked at Harrahs Reno. During that time I was given and collected some unique items. I was wondering if you might know the value if any on these Harrahs items.
I have attached a picture of the following items. Here is what I know about them.
#1 Is a plaque given to Bill Harrah when he went public on the stock exchange. It hung in his office until his death. It is dated November 1971.
#2 Is a acrylic encased miniature certificate for 10.000 shares of stock in Harrahs. Only one was made. It was a another gift to Bill Harrah when Harrahs went public. This sat on his desk until his death.
#3 is a gold coin given only to Harrahs executives in 1987. It was for the 50th anniversary of Harrahs. It is the same size as a casino token. I don't know if it's pure gold or plated. They were also made in brass and sold in the Reno gift shop.
#4 The blue and orange chip is a Harvey's casino no cash value chip. The 1 dollar and 100 dollar are harrahs chips without the plastic.
Any input regarding the value of the following items would be appreciated.
Thanks all. and help????
