That is truly disturbing news. Aside from the obvious disappointment of not having a value convention chip, it has the very real possibility of killing a large portion of the hobby.

It is one thing for us to be gripe among ourselves. But it appears that we may hoist by our own pitard by griping to the wrong people when things didn't go our way. I hope this only a shot off our bow, and not a full-fledged attack on the LE/commemorative chips (forgive the incomplete metaphor).
