I didn't bash Clinton in all of my posts, just every other one and as needed. (G)

Let's take a look at his legacy. His first two years were marred with his order to let gays in the Military with the Don't ask, Don't tell policy. Then he let Hillary come up with a Socialist plan to take over our Health Care. He ran his campain on lowering taxes and the first thing he does is raise taxes and he makes it retroactive.

The midterm elections come around and the Democratic party takes stunning losses. Newt becomes Speaker of the House with his,"Contract for America". With the Republicans taking firm control of the House, big government spending bills cannot be passed. So you have high taxes and controlled spending, sending vast amounts of cash at the national dept and yearly budget shortfalls. Clinton moves more conservative and signs NAFTA and reforms welfare much to the shagrin of his party. (Both NAFTA and Welfare reform were good ideas)

I think it was also during those last two years of his first term when he started selling technology to China so that China could successfully hit us with a Nuke. China repaid Clinton with huge donations from Charile Tree and others. Clinton also starts messing around with Monica.

Clinton beats Dole as he has benefited from a good economy since the Repubs took control of the House. In his last term, the stock market becomes a mania (Bubble) and people spend money that they don't have and the economy booms even more. What happens is that millions of people are holding shares of stock. At any one time a small % of the outstanding shares trade, and this gives a short term value of the entire company. Millions of people people view themselves as rich with hundreds of thousands of dollars in stock and they spend all their other monies, or more than they would otherwise. When Greenspan over reacts in the late 90's and raises interest rates too high, the bubble market (Economy) bursts and not everyone makes it out alive. So in effect what you had were millions of people spending 3-8 years worth of surplus money into the economy in 1-2 year time span. This was great for everyone, the economy did great, that caused tons of revenue to come into the government. Now the party is over and the millions of people holding worthless stock are trying to build back up their nesteggs.

No doubt you know all about Monica and Bill lying to a Grand Jury and his Impeachment. Bill Clinton is a good lawyer and he always thought that if his affair became public that it would be his word against hers. He even told Monica this advice when she was going to give testamony at a Grand Jury,"When only two people know about something. There is no way to prove that they aren't telling the truth if they denie it. If it hadn't been for the dress with a bit of Bill on it, Bill would of done the same thing to all of the other women in his past. He and Hillary would of trashed them like they did to Paula Jones. I can still see James Carvill saying,"You drag a dollar bill through a trailor park, you are bound to catch something"

Arch, I could go on and on and on. Yes Clinton signed a couple good bills. Yes they seem to of done a good job parenting their Daughter. (Even if Bill was risking his family by cheating) Buddy his dog seemed like a good dog, too bad he got away and was hit by a car and killed. Too bad that all Bill did was to launch cruise missiles at Bin Laden's camp after the Cole attack. Too bad Bill didn't declare a war on Terrorism after the first World Trade Center Bombing and the hundreds of people killed in our embasies (sp) in Africa. It was a good thing that Bill took out Molosivic (sp). I guess Bill's biggest problem was his hubris. He always thought he could game the system and get away with anything if he was careful.

You are correct when you say,"Bill Clinton's legacy is assured" His legacy is how a very charming and intelligent man put himself above his family and Country. IMO Bill Clinton was a below average President, only time will tell.

Now the fight goes to Hilliary. Hilliary is very intelligent but has a couple flaws like her husband. When she could get away with it in the early 90's, she was the one blaming the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" for all the women claiming they had an affair with Cliton or were harrased. Thank God the truth is out about her and Bill. She will never be President and is very likely to lose her Senate seat in 2006. My guess is that Rudy takes it from her.
