I am in that group now too. I have been working out the last 4 months, and I am in much better shape. Looking back I see that I was using chocolate/food to make me feel better. I used it to get through the day and not to fix the problems in my life. So now when I see an overweight politician I figure they must have a source of sadness that they repress or they are a glutton to all of their senses and they don't have the wisdom to do better for themselves.

I guess the mayor of Las Vegas falls into both categories. (G) (Oscar Goodman?) He seems to be a good spokesman for the city. I don't think that there would every be enough pressure on him as mayor to bring any character flaws out in public. Plus he couldn't do much damage as mayor.
