I read an interesting piece, and I can't remember where it was.

It put forth the idea that al-jazeera had gained a sense of respectability from the US Press not because Al-Jazeera was presenting an unbiased account of the war, but because the US press recognized that it was just as biased as was Al-Jazeera and could no longer claim any sort of journalistic integrity.
