Let me try again. In 1992 Bill Clinton ran as a conservative. He said he was for a tax cut etc. Once elected he said,"I tried and tried and I couldn't give a tax break" and he raised taxes and made it retroactive. (G) So IMO just because Bill Clinton mouths a conservative stance, doesn't mean he believed in it or would inact it. So to take that into 2004. If both parties are for a strong military, both parties are for tax cuts, both parties say they are for Homeland protection. I think that many people will look at the actions of both parties and see the truth. There are some Demo's that seem to have convictions. Liberman...Gephardt etc.

So I guess what I am saying is that if a Presidential contender runs as a conservative. Get's elected and governs far left. (High Taxes, Gays in the Military (Don't ask don't tell), Socialized Medicine) Then when his party gets wacked hard in the midterm elections, he veers conservative to try to get re-elected. As you know Bill did get re-elected. (G) I voted for Dole! (G) I don't see how someone can say that their isn't a difference between the two parties? You have the conservatives that stand for Pro life, Smaller Government, Power to the States, Tort Reform, School vouchers, Tax Cuts, and a Strong Military. You then have Democrats that are totally against most of those stances.
