I hope to God you are right. I think I've said repeatedly that I hope that this honorable President of the United States proves to be the man for the job. I hope he made the right choices. I hope he disarms all future terrorists.

All I've ever said is that he's not proven his position to me. You will note, however, that on the one occasion in the past that I was patently dispespectful to the man (I called him a liar), I retracted it publicly. I may disagree with the man. I often disagree with the policy. I try very hard not to disrespect the office, partiularly when it involves my claiming to know his moral character. In this particular instance I think personal attacks on our President are extremely distasteful -- at least in the context of a debate that involves young men and women risking their lives. I prefer to debate policy. I would only ask that you refrain from attacks on past Commanders in Chief unless they directly bear on this conflict.
