My lottery number was 314. I didn't avoid military service as you have put it, I didn't get called to duty due to a high draft number.
All, and I mean ALL people fighting this war are doing so voluntarily.
There is no comparison between this conflict and Nam. Trying to compare the two does further disservice to Nam vets and current disservice to our troupes in the gulf.
