I am not sure if this is news that we can use in the chip collecting world or not. I was at the Trump Taj Mahal this morning playing poker when they opened a new 10-20 Hold-Em game. Having played many (too many) times in the past I knew the procedure, the dealer had to sell the chips from his rack to all players. It usually took up to five minutes or more to sell the new players their chips and then the dealer would need a fill for his rack. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when after the green light was given for the game to start, most of the players walked to the poker room cage and bought racks of chips directly from the cage. By the time I got back to the table the cards were all checked and shuffled and the game got started after only a minute or so. I was told that this procedure was started this past Monday. My point being that you can now buy chips directly from the cage for cash. I do not know if this applies to just the big poker rooms with their own cages or if you can purchase chips on the main casino floors across town. It would greatly enhance chips sales in the future. If someone knows more please fill in the missing details. Larry
