David Whalen has never applied for membership since the brass core inquiry. It is incorrect to say that he "has been not allowed to rejoin" the club.

Actually, "they" couldn't kick him out not only because he wasn't "in", but also because (1) no complaint was ever filed against him and therefore there was no administrative procedure for "kicking him out" and IMO (2) nothing he did violates any provision of the Code of Ethics, so there would be no basis for kicking him out even if there was a complaint.
There is nothing in any of the Board's brass core reports which indicates that any action was taken against David Whalen. My copies of club magazines are at home, so I will have to check later, but I believe that the only reference to Whalen's memberhip (that he would not be allowed to rejoin if he applied) was in an article by Nate in the magazine -- however, that statement was a reference to potential future action, not past completed action. In any event to my knowledge the board has never voted on it (certainly no such vote has ever been publically announced).
