I stayed last april. I lucked out and got a room that was away from the roller coaster. I think if you request it that way you should be ok.

Just make sure you ask for a room that is not to close to the elevators. Mine was close enough that I heard them at night. But not often.

The last time I stayed in Vegas I stayed there and at The Mirage.

I found NY NY to be much more friendly when it came to the few problems I had. The shower didn't work right the first day i got there. They fixed it immediately.

The room I stayed in at NY NY was better than the one at The Mirage. Both were one step above the smallest room.
