I stayed at the Tropicana for last year's convention. I checked out at 10:00am, left my bags (containing thousands of dollars worth of chips) with the bell hop and visited several casinos until my 5:00pm flight time. My bags were safe and sound. I tipped the guy before and after. Hope this helps.
